INGREDIENTS
Whole foods. Nothing else.
CRUMS are made entirely from whole nuts, seeds and natural spices. Nothing artificial, no fillers, no compromises.
This page is about the ingredients themselves - where their nutritional power comes from and why we chose each one.
Think of it as a tour of the goodness inside every pouch.
SOURCE OF PROTEIN | OMEGA 3 RICH | HIGH IN FIBRE

Ground Flaxseed
The nutritional cornerstone of every CRUMS variant. Flaxseed is one of the richest plant sources of omega 3 ALA available — every pouch of CRUMS delivers a meaningful contribution toward your daily requirement. It is also exceptionally high in fibre, supporting digestive health, and contains lignans — plant compounds with antioxidant properties. We grind it to maximise bioavailability.

Walnuts
Among all nuts, walnuts stand apart for their omega 3 content. They contain more ALA omega 3 than any other common nut, alongside polyphenols that act as antioxidants in the body. They are also a source of magnesium, copper and manganese. Their distinctive flavour — rich, slightly bitter and complex — makes them a natural partner for earthy, savoury blends.

Nutritional Yeast
An extraordinary ingredient hiding in plain sight. Nutritional yeast contains all nine essential amino acids, making it one of the few complete plant proteins available. It is exceptionally rich in B vitamins — particularly B1, B2, B3 and B6 — alongside zinc and selenium. It also delivers the deep umami flavour that makes Cashew Parmysan taste 'cheesy' without a trace of dairy.

Pumpkin Seeds
Small but seriously impressive. Pumpkin seeds are one of the best plant sources of magnesium — a mineral many people fall short on — and deliver meaningful amounts of zinc, iron and protein in every serving. They also contain tryptophan, which the body uses to produce serotonin. Their nutty, satisfying crunch makes them the most visually distinctive element of the Sesame Crunch blend.

Raw Cacao
Raw cacao — before it becomes cocoa — retains its full complement of nutrients. It is one of the highest plant sources of magnesium and iron, alongside zinc, manganese and copper. It also contains flavanols — antioxidant compounds found in the cacao bean — and delivers a deep, complex chocolatey character that is different from processed cocoa. No sugar added, no dairy — just pure organic cacao.

Almonds
One of the most nutrient-dense nuts available. Almonds are exceptionally rich in vitamin E — a fat-soluble antioxidant — alongside magnesium, calcium and protein. They contain more calcium than any other common nut, which makes them particularly valuable in a plant based product. We use almonds with their skins on, which preserves the flavonoids found in the almond skin alongside the kernel.

Sunflower Seeds
One of the best plant sources of vitamin E — a nutrient that acts as an antioxidant protecting cells from oxidative stress. Including sunflower seeds in every CRUMS blend means every sprinkle contributes to your daily vitamin E intake. They also deliver magnesium, selenium, phosphorus and zinc. Their mild, buttery flavour makes them the most versatile ingredient in the range — they appear in seven of our eight variants.

Sesame Seeds
Ancient, flavour-packed and nutritionally remarkable. Sesame seeds are extraordinarily rich in calcium — gram for gram, they contain more calcium than cow's milk — alongside iron, zinc and copper. They also contain sesamin and sesamolin, unique lignans found almost exclusively in sesame that have been researched for their antioxidant properties. Their toasty, nutty depth is the backbone of the Sesame Crunch blend.

Nori Seaweed
The ocean's contribution to the CRUMS range. Nori is one of the few plant foods that contains iodine — an essential mineral for normal thyroid function that is difficult to obtain from a plant-based diet. It also provides iron and a range of micronutrients rarely found in land plants. Its deep, savoury, umami character is the defining flavour note in Spicy Peanut & Seaweed and entirely plant-derived.

Lion's Mane Mushroom
One of the most researched functional mushrooms currently available. Lion's Mane contains hericenones and erinacines — compounds studied for their potential to support the production of nerve growth factor (NGF), which plays a role in the maintenance of neurons. It is also high in fibre and provides protein, potassium and zinc. Its mild, subtle flavour integrates seamlessly into the Woodland Magic blend.

Dried Forest Mushrooms
A carefully selected blend of dried forest mushrooms, prized for their rich umami flavour and natural goodness. Mushrooms are a source of fibre, plant-based protein and minerals, and contain naturally occurring compounds such as beta-glucans that are the subject of ongoing research. Their deep, earthy character adds complexity, warmth and a delicious savoury note to the Woodland Magic blend.

Goji Berries
Used in traditional Chinese wellness practices for centuries, Goji berries bring both vivid colour and genuine nutritional value. They are rich in zeaxanthin and beta-carotene — antioxidant compounds particularly associated with eye health — alongside vitamin C, iron and zinc. Their vibrant red colour and sweet-tart flavour are the visual and taste signature of the Berry Chocolatey blend.

Hazelnuts
Rich, round and deeply satisfying. Hazelnuts are an excellent source of vitamin E and manganese, alongside copper, folate and magnesium. Folate — vitamin B9 — is particularly important for cellular function and is essential for everyone. Their natural oils are predominantly heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, making them a nourishing addition to both the Berry Chocolatey and Woodland Magic blends.

Cashews
Creamy, versatile and nutritionally generous. Cashews are one of the best dietary sources of copper — an essential mineral involved in energy production and iron metabolism — alongside zinc, magnesium, iron and phosphorus. Their naturally mild, buttery flavour takes on the character of whatever spices surround them, making them the ideal base for Cashew Parmysan and Sesame Crunch.
