Everyday Roasties
Updated: Aug 31

We all love a roastie! Let's face it, warm crispy potatoes don't need too much help to be super moreish and delicious. But these bad boys will be your new family favourite. A scatter of Mediterranean Walnut CRUMS just before serving adds a herby, savoury crunch that helps the humble plain roast potato live its best life. We love this flavour combo, but actually any one of the savour CRUMS is a total roast potato winner. A small, simple addition that makes an everyday side feel a bit more loved and special. Plus its vegan and gluten free, which matters around a dinner table where everyones got different tastes. This is CRUMS nut and seed sprinkles working their best magic - a finishing touch to simple wholefoods, rather than a complicated new recipe. These superfood sprinkles are worth keeping in the cupboard for any roast dinner element and it's worth trying a few of our other flavours of savoury sprinkles.
Serves 4 · Pairs with Mediterranean Walnut CRUMS
Ingredients
Potatoes (Maris Piper is always recommended for roasting — we also love using reds)
Olive oil
Sea salt
Fresh rosemary
Mediterranean Walnut CRUMS
Method
Preheat the oven to around 180°C.
Peel the potatoes and cut into even-sized chunks. Rinse and put into a pan of salted cold water.
Bring to the boil, then turn down to simmer for around 8 minutes, until just tender.
Drain in a colander and leave to steam for a couple of minutes.
Rough them up a little to create a fluffy jacket, then tip into your roasting tin.
Drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt, making sure they're well coated, then roast for 30 minutes.
Add a couple of sprigs of rosemary and return to the oven for around 15 minutes, or until they've reached your favourite shade of golden.
Tip into a serving dish, sprinkle generously with Mediterranean Walnut CRUMS, and enjoy!
